Hi, I’m Miki and
I’m so glad you’re here.
Who am I?
I’m a business leader and spiritual intuitive. These may seem like an odd pairing, but I firmly believe that my special gifts to the world (and most people’s) emerge from the magic of uniting two seemingly disparate things. The coaching and facilitation work I now recognize as my true calling requires me to lean on the skills I grew both running businesses and working with hundreds of leaders and participating in and holding deep ceremonial and spiritual containers.
A bit about my parallel journeys:
Business Journey
Founded and grew a successful employer branding agency for the last 7+ years
Interviewed and consulted with hundreds of C-suite, People, and Talent Acquisition leaders in our work with startup and business clients
Led our team culturally as it grew from me and my husband to 30+ team members
Led almost every sale closed by the agency for its first 6 years
Redesigned my role to allow me to pursue coaching and facilitation work, including hiring and coaching the company’s new CEO
Founded a startup in 2011 and, after a year, learned everything I needed to realize I prefer to support startups than run them ;)
Gave the opening speech at FailCon about our startup experience
Ran my own consulting business helping photography entrepreneurs design and implement social marketing strategies
Published my personal reflections on 5+ blogs on-and-off for the last decade, plus created the Leading By Example podcast.
Spiritual Journey
10+ years participating in 100+ 7Directions dance ceremonies, culminating in becoming a 7Directions facilitator in 2018
Years of work with Turning Dead Ends into Doorways, culminating in becoming a Somatic Energy Guide for Following Energy in 2022
ICF Coach Training, online coaching courses, working with my own coach, and receiving ICF ACC Accreditation in 2022
4+ years of cohort coaching through Pathwise Leadership
2 years of talk therapy, 6 months of somatic therapy, and 8+ years of energy healing
Consciously approaching motherhood x2 (the ultimate spiritual teacher!)
Exploration of EFT, TRE, Maitri breathwork, meditation, nature quests, and various altered states ceremonies
8+ years of near-weekly astrology check-ins and related self-reflections
8+ years of personal Tarot exploration
15 years of various yoga practices
4 years cofacilitating monthly women’s salons
Why do I do this work?
First, I enjoy it. I have yet to find anything more fulfilling than creating the space for someone to learn to relate to themselves, their loved ones, and the world in a way that’s more aligned with their values and best self.
Second, because I believe humanity is facing existential threats that can only be addressed through a true paradigm shift on many levels. To do that, we must first wake up and become conscious of the unconscious stories we’ve internalized about who we are, how we love, how we look, and what makes us worthy. We have to create the change we want to see in the world inside of ourselves first—and making that change is infinitely easier when we have compassionate support from other humans.
Third, because I know it works. I am grateful every day that, because of my personal growth journey and the people who’ve supported me through it, I’m able to show up more fully for my loved ones and those I’m in service to. I genuinely wish I could send the same grace, healing, and connection to every human—short of that, I trust that the relatively small number of people I can help will create ripple effects beyond what I can possibly imagine.
