Leadership Coaching

How you’re being is more important than what you’re doing.

Talking about coaching is like dancing about painting—the best thing is just to experience it.

I am happy to provide a free 90-minute coaching session to see if working together is a good fit. First step: please schedule a quick call so I can learn more about you and your goals.

My Genius

One of my key goals is to help clients connect with their genius, the unique blend of experience, skill, and style that only they can contribute to the world. Here is what I’ve learned about mine:

  • I bring together deep knowledge and experience (and love!) of two realms that rarely share space: business leadership and spiritual seeking (read more here)

  • This shows up in my coaching as a distinctive blend of traditional coaching (I’m ICF certified) and somatic energy practices (guided visualizations, body awareness, light trance work)

  • For those who have experienced coaching from an entirely logical-mind place, this format offers more direct access to confidence, clarity, compassion, and creativity held in our subconscious mind

  • For those who have experienced the powerful transformation of altered states or parts work, this incorporates elements of both into a forward-focused format that more easily integrates into your work and life

How I Work

  • When we commit to a specific amount of time to work together, it creates trust that helps deepen the work and gives us a clear timeline for goals.

  • Every session is personalized, but in general they include: check-in & centering exercise (15 mins), coaching (45 mins), guided visualization (20 mins), debrief and next steps (10 mins).

  • Sessions are usually every other week. Between those, I am available by WhatsApp, text, or email to support in any way that’s useful: checking on commitments, talking through challenges, giving feedback on communications, etc.

  • To help make sure you’re getting what you want from the process, I’ll help you clarify 1–2 goals to work toward, along with an intention that will help you show up the way you want on your journey toward them

  • During sessions or in between, I will also suggest reflections prompts and practices to help you integrate what you’re gathering into your daily life

Here are a few ways I would love to support you:

  • Presence: Showing up the way you want to moment-to-moment

  • Energy: Unlocking momentum by focusing on activities that feel like fun

  • Decision-making: Tuning into your intuition for less tiring, clearer decisions

  • Mindset: Uncovering & shifting limiting beliefs that sabotage your success

  • Skillset: Specific tools and resources to support your continued growth

I can be especially helpful if you are:

  • Stepping into or working to achieve a new role

  • Redesigning your work life to integrate health and/or family needs

  • Planning a work sabbatical and want to get the most from your time

  • Stepping back from or reimagining your current role

“A leader is anyone who takes responsibility for finding the potential in people and processes, and who has the courage to develop that potential.”

I coach paradigm shifters.

People who recognize the huge cracks in our foundational systems and are actively reimagining and rebuilding them to be more resilient, more fair, more sustainable, and more humane.

I coach compassionate humans.

I believe we need to develop new ways to value the harder-to-measure “soft” skills that help humans access meaning and creativity. Things like cultivating emotional intelligence, agility, and regulation; helping people feel seen and heard; building trust and belonging; connecting diverse ideas and perspectives; and translating between reason and intuition. Leaders who embody these abilities will lead us to a future we can’t yet imagine and upon which our survival depends—and I’m here to make sure their perspectives are heard and heeded.

I coach people who inspire me.

I look for clients who dream big and act with integrity. Clients who are courageous, compassionate, respectful, self-aware, and action-oriented. Who have a track record of investing in and committing to their personal growth. My clients already have a therapist or have worked extensively with one in the past, and I’m likely not their first experience with coaching, mindfulness practices, or altered states work.

I coach first, and consult when useful.

I’ve started and run four businesses, including a top employer branding agency for 7 years. I’ve interviewed and consulted with leaders from more than 100 companies (from seed-stage to Fortune 50). From that place, I can quickly grasp the nuances of leaders’ challenges, and I’m happy to provide perspective and resources when it’s useful.

But I also know that leading is first and foremost about learning to trust your own decisions and to act without an expectation for outside validation. And being a paradigm-shifting leader means, by definition, there is no roadmap where you’re headed. So I never start by telling clients what I think they should do or what worked for me. Instead I help clients clarify their intentions (not other’s expectations), hold them accountable to their potential (not the stories in their heads), and help them connect to and trust their innate wisdom.

  • “I loved the somatic practices that Miki led me through. They helped me connect more with the inner-wisdom of my body and encouraged me to prioritize my well-being by doing energy checks when meeting with prospective clients—and saying "no, thank you" when necessary.”

~ Corinne, Life Coach & Business Owner

  • “Miki’s coaching revealed the power of setting clear intentions. Since working with Miki, I'm much more consistent in my ability to observe my thoughts and behavior before reacting, I'm more gentle and loving toward myself, and I’m more effectively managing my energy.”

~ Peter, Photographer & Business Owner

  • “Months [after my session], I have been able to proceed with courage, holding uncertainty in one hand and my vision in another, focusing on the next step in front of me.”
